ffdshow wont work

After installing the newest version of ffdshow and BSPlayer Pro, I can't find ffdshow's filter properties anywhere in BSPlayer. It's usually in "Right click" -> Options -> Filters. I only see XVID as the currently playing avi is encoded in xvid..
I'm pretty dependent on ffdshow because my screen is very dark.

Take this attached picture of Seven and Chakotey in sickbay, it's almost all black on my screen, I can't see anything.

Probably FFDShow is not configured to handle xvid.
Go to "Start Menu -> Programs->ffdshow->Configuration"
That way you can get to ffdshows's filter configuration page.
From there select the "Codecs" sheet, and make sure that xvid decoding is not disabled.

Damn I'm at work now, and that picture is very light. It's wierd that my monitor is that dark...
