As the subject says, I was wondering whether there were any alternatives to FieldDeinterlace(full=false)? My ST:TNG captures need to be deinterlaced but as the NTSC->PAL transfer is a crappy one, not all frames are combed. Thus I've had to use the full=false option. Could KernelDeint be an alternative, with a high enough threshold?

the latest Tdeint is a good option i think. it does field-matching as well as pixel-matching. i've tried it on some field-blended stuff, and it worked exceptionally well. the field-matching wasn't all that useful on blends, of course (it can be turned off for speed), but it kept all the detail there was left to keep. definitely give that a try. it'll also take telecide hints, but seeing as it field-matches on it's own, that feature isn't really needed anymore :)

Thanks, I'll have to try it. The next episode is aired tonight so I'll have the testing material ready for tomorrow:)
