DVD-RB .63 Quenc .54 with memaligned avcodec. P4
dynamic bit rates, trellis, 2 pass.
Error message pops up at start of encode...
AVS file not outputing, use convert to yenc(?) at end of ...
option ok.
I have never seen this error message before. Could it be from the new feature in v.63 for very short segments?
I received it on the first block of the encode phase.
It is now continuing the encode with second block.

I also received this error "AVS file not outputting" one time. It was because I had installed AviSynth 2.08 by mistake.
Check what version of AviSynth installed by running the C:\Program Files\AviSynth\Examples\Version.avs in media player.
I think it should be 2.5 or above?

I ended up getting a buffer #3 error during rebuild.
I think i'm going back to v.62.

I think i'm going back to v.62. Same problem with v0.63, solved with v0.63a.
Probably it's the best release since the 0.60b, and I think there is no need to use v0.62

I also just got this error, using Rebuilder 0.63a and QuEnc 0.54. I am backing up "School Of Rock", which I successfully backed up previously with RB 0.62. (I saw some slight stutter, so I figured I'd try it with 0.63a.)
Looking at the QuEnc main panel, I see that the filename is missing for both files. I.e., the dialog contains:
Source AVS: E:\DVD_VIDEOS\SCHOOL_OF_ROCK_16X9\REBUILT\D2VAVS\.avs
Dest M2V: E:\DVD_VIDEOS\SCHOOL_OF_ROCK_16X9\REBUILT\D2VAVS\.m2v
I manually ran QuEnc, plugged in all the same options but filled in the missing V02000000001001 for both filenames, ran that successfully, and am letting the Rebuilder backup continue. So far, no additional problems with the filenames...
I tested this on a different machine (one's a P4 running XP, other's a P3 running Win2k), and saw the same problem. I then tried 0.62, using the D2VAVS directory from 0.63a, and saw the same poblem. I then tried 0.62 starting from scratch, to verify that I didn't see the problem. (I didn't, although I only let it run through a few AVS files.)
The only difference in the 2 sets of D2VAVS files was in the Rebuilder.ECL file, and I verified that using the 0.63a-generated ECL file with 0.62 showed the problem, and using the 0.62-generated ECL file with 0.63a worked fine (again, only running through a handful of .avs files).
Here's the Rebuilder.ini, in case that's meaningful (the Languages keeps only English & Spanish; it's apparently getting cut off by the posting software):

I encountered this error too with a fresh install of V0.64a and QuEnc.
It looks like the problem is DVD-RB is sending the wrong filenames for Segment 0 like lamster reported above. Segments after segment 0 worked fine.

Sorry this took so long... I hate to admit it, but it was accidentally checked off on my "things to fix" list.
It has been fixed and will be included in the next release. It was caused by code I'd inserted in support of ProCoder.
