A friend of mine told me about a progrma called 1ClickDVDCopy. It supports dual-layer and encodes the movie for high quality. He says he's used it with no problems and his backups look great. I was curious to know what is the difference in the encoder used by 1ClickDVDCopy and the encoder (CCE) used by Rebuilder. That is, which one would yield superior quality. Also, the encoder on 1ClickDVDCopy is a lot faster - usually a DVD takes less than 1 hour. Any input would be great.

If you are making a dual layer copy of a DVD you don't need anything other than DVD Decrypter. Reencoding is not needed and doing so cannot possibly make the quality better (except maybe if your source needs some filtering).

If you are making a single layer copy of a dual layer movie -- nothing is better than CCE for encoding.
