View Full Version : Is AutoGK a deterministic process? / oversized AVIs

Greetings,

I've installed and I'm using AutGK 1.6. I've noticed that lately, a lot of the XviD AVIs are coming out oversized. I'm wondering, is AutoGK a deterministic process, ie if I try to remake the AVIs will I get exactly the same results, or maybe this time AutoGK will produce an AVI with the correct size?

If it is a deterministic process, what can/should I do to try and find out what causing the oversized files?

Thanks in advance,

John

Hi-

If you're using XviD and have upgraded without first uninstalling the previous version, that could cause it. So, whatever codec you're using, try uninstalling and then reinstalling.

Yeap, that seems to do the trick; I uninstalled and re-installed XviD and now my files have their intended size. Thanks a lot!

John

PS The first question though remains: is AutoGK a deterministic process?
