Ripping DVD

I finally copied my first DVD movie to my HD but now that I am ready it burn it to my blank disk I get the message COPY PROTECTION ERROR THE REQUEST COULD NOT BE PERFORMED BECAUSE OF AN I/O DEVICE ERROR.
Any suggestions please.
