SVCD to DVD problem

i have a 2 disc svcd.

I converted it to dvd format then authored it in ulead dvd movie factory.

I made sure all the A.R and bitrates were all dvd complient.

When the dvd was burnt then played everything was good apart from on the right hand side there were blocks and they were very annoying.

you usually get that when the resolution of the mpeg is not the resolution in the header and/or the ifo. did you actually reencode them to 720xXXX or leave them at svcd resolution? if you left them at svcd resolution try patching the vob file mpeg headers to 480x480 with dvdpatcher. if that doesnt work, it may be you have a really picky player in which case you would have to make true 720x480 mpegs and author them
