Just being curios. I remember a time when there were codec improvements on a weekly basis soo ...

A little nagging can't hurt :)

A opensource Wavelet based codec which was introduced by BBC.
Google will give you alot of infos about it and where you can find the project (SourceForge.net).

hardware support in standalone dvd player like divx and wm9 ??

i read somewhere something about that in china and other asian countries...

Yes, we know, even though I can not recall improvements were ever that frequent :D Stability is also good.. We have very limited resources, you can count the video codec team with less than 1/2 your fingers on one hand ;) and we have a lot of other tasks than pure quality tuning. That's still the main focus though, so don't worry, you will be the first to know!

Well... that was when Everything pops out, such as EHQ ( 1st and 2nd version ) , Dup........ and Media Player CLassic Support.

Now RM seems to be rather quite compare to the old days.
