Is there some tool for checking if a DVD is anamorphic?

After reading this (http://www.dvdfile.com/news/special_report/production_a_z/anamorphic.htm) article I understand that anamorphic is the best choice on widescreen televisions.
The labeling is real confusing, sometimes the DVD is labeled "anamorphic widescreen", sometimes "enhanced for 16:9" and similar things. So I would like to know if there's some tool for checking if the DVD is anamorphic or not?

Yep,

You can use GSpot beta (http://gspot.headbands.com/gspot252dl.html).

By definition all Mpeg2 DVD's are anamorphic as they contain either 4:3 DAR or 16:9 DAR signalling!

That's by your definition, not by the definition which is used here and on any other forum.
