Making an ASF

Hello... I recently came into the presence of a DVD player that can "playback the simple profile MPEG-4 asf file" as it's horribly translated manual says.

I tried burning a divx3 movie that I had sitting around, and it didnt' even open on the player. So, I would assume that it wants ASF files.

Problem is, I don't know how to remux any Simple Profile MPEG-4 movies I might have into ASF.

I have vDub 1.3, but it only opens ASFs, and doesnt allow you to write them.

Is there any way to write an ASF???

VLC player can mux asf's if im right...

Change FourCC to "MP43" in avi and then use Microsoft´s own (very old) command-line tool:
vidtoasf

Are you sure problem is the .avi container?. Not every MPEG4 player is able to play divx 3.
