I cant seem to use it to play real files? Any suggestions would be appereated thanx.

Hum... maybe "Software Player" would be a better place for that.

well.. you can do it using a small "trick". Create the media type group for your HuffYuv codec. Add the Video MediaType with one MEDIATYPE_HFYU fourcc and then add a second subtype with {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} = joker. This will make all video filters appear in the selection list and you should be able to pick the AVI Decompressor filter.

Sorry. A (much) better support for Real is on our TODO ;)
