hi i just got a old tv card. (some avermedia card)

I have hooked up my vcr to my pc with a standard composite wire and i can play videos etc and watch them on my tv wiuth dscaler

BUT

I have no audio what so ever.

Any ideas? I have no idea about this card.

A composite video cable only contain a video signal.

To connect audio, you will need to acquire the appropriate audio cable set to run from your VCR (such as right and left RCA Phono plugs) to your sound card (such as 3.5mm stereo plug).

Video will go through the capture card, audio through the sound card.

Make sure your sound card "record mode" is not set to your microphone-in, but, to line-in or the appropriate equivalent. The specific name may vary, but you'll figure it out.
