taken dvd problem

i have the taken dvd series and i cannot rip them, dvd shrink 3.2 locks up at 1% on every one of the 6 disks, its says device malfunction, i can use dvd decrypter to get it onto my hard drive, but even then dvd shrink will not shrink it down even though it is already on my hard drive, clonedvd seemed to work but when you put the disk in any dvd player it locks up on the dreamworks screen before the menu even comes up

i have tried both of my drives so i dont think it is them

1 nec 2501 dvd+-rw
