Hi guys.

I am trying to backup this se7en movie. I use the big three method and as usual, everything worked fine, until i burned the final image and saw that there were something wrong.

Everything works great, movie, main menu, audio menu, bonus menu, but chapters menu is kinda screwed up.
When i select it, I can only see the background page, but without any button nor links working.

I checked with menu edit, and i couldn t find chapter menu in any of the current vob id's. So i opened scenarist again and realized that my chapter menu was in fact there, pgc18 to pgc22. I searched through this forum and find this --> http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81297&highlight=chapter+menu+pgc

However, it doesn t seem to work :s (see pic 3)

I don t know what to do next :\ can anyone help me ?

you will lose any button commands when you process a vts, so you have two options avaliable:

1: look at the Button Over Video Guides for a detailed method of manually creating the chapter selection buttons/highlights/commands or
2: you can update to Scenaid which now has BoV support built in to its advanced features - please note you will have to re-rip the subs if you choose this method AFTER installing Scenaid.

good luck

Hey jel :)

So i tried ur first advice. I have a problem when I try to create a button under scenarist, with the simulaiton window:

I can't select the square button :\ In your opinion, why is that ?

Couple things

1) if your going to post screenshots, please shrink them - i'm currently at 1280x1024 and they are HUGE

2) If you can't create a button at a specific location then you do not have forced subs at the same spot in that location..... all sub streams need to have a forced sub at the location you are attempting to create a button

Well there are no forced subs: these pgc's are the chapters menu. There s no sub at all :\

Have you already seen this ?

well then you can't create highlights /buttons :)

you need forced subs where the highlights will be or they won't work

if there is/was highlights in the original, then there was subs

doom9 has an old guide for the matrix that shows menu creation. also the button over video guides will give you an idea (what you have isnt button over video but the guide will give you a general idea how to do it) what region is this dvd, btw?

also check your DIF4U options:

global options > other options > 'dont vobsub pgcs less than '
and set this to '0' min.
this way, DIF4U will rip any subs that are avaliable, and make a lot less work for you in creating your buttons.

I can't find this darn guide :s

I tried this: i multiplexed everything, and edited VTS_01_1.VOB (which conatins the chapters menu pgc's) with menue edit and created buttons (saved the buttons on the original vob and load them in my final vob), but stil, it doesn't work :\. Im loosing my mind :s
