Unable to play/rip My Big Fat Greek Wedding....

Hmmmm.....
I originally thgouht it was the disk - so I returned it to the Vid Shop.
They gave me a new one.
Still wont boot up in either my DVDR or DVDRW.
Just locks up - try explorer - "error - retry"

Any sugestions.

how are you trying to rip the DVD and what with?

This isnt one of those dvd's with the newer copy protection that puts bad sectors mixed in with the good data is it? Maybe it is, and your dvd rom/buner is having difficulty getting past the pseudo bad data? That is the only thing I can think of. There isnt really any other reason it shouldnt work if it works on every other movie you own.

Have you tried it with DVDDecrypter? If it doesn't work, pls have a look at it with IsoBuster and tell us what file structure you see.

I couldnt even get the DVD disk to boot....
Took it back to the video store and it fired up in their player straight away.

PS - that was the second disk I had form the shop after complaining the first didnt work - although it was a little scratched. This latest one was brand new.

Does it play in your standalone player or no?

i had similar experiences with discs in my old pc dvd drive. cheap drive that just started going bad. it would read some discs but not others - sporadically. ended up getting an new disc drive and all is well.

this is just an experience. maybe not be your problem
