Hi all.

I've been trying to use this software for 2 weeks now, and i've allways encountered maybe 2 or 3 different issues.

The first and more common, is an error that claims "cannot write to avisynth.ini". I check all the logs and no error is present. Here are the Logs:

I've tried the "Do not convert Audio", and i can go a litle further, but then is stops with an error in DVD Authoring. There, i believe it's an error using the encoded Audio (though the encoded audio plays well in media player). But mplex doesn't seem to like the audio file, as it says it is an unkown type...

Now for a litle background:
I've tried this in several divx files with and without AC3. I want the subtitles muxed, so, i first use VirtualDub along with VobSub to reencode the video to DivX5.2, muxing the subtitles. Later, i use that same file to put is in DVD2SVCD, in order to convert it to a DVD.

I'd appreciate any help you guys could give me.

Thanks.

Update to other Encodes i've tried:

It seems the "can't write to avisynth" error is allways here. Now i start to think that it's not a specific problem that causes this error message, but instead, that error message later produces the problem. This, because the whole encoding process stops not at the same part, but in completely different parts.
This last time it stopped in the midle of making the ISO. I got an ISO of 300MB, when the error message appeared.

Can anyone give some hints?

Thanks.

Never seen that error reported.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the DVD2SVCD bundle for starters.

Hi, and thanks for your answer. I tried that allready several times, aswell as reinstalling all codecs and stuff. Also i tried rebooting everytime i tried something new.

Any more hints you can give me?

Thanks.

Yeah! you can start by throwing away your computer :D ... just kidding...

Did you uninstall and re-install AviSynth, too?

No, not avisynth.
But now that you mentioned it, it SEEMS to have worked... :)

But after i solved that one, anothr isso appeared...

I get an ISO file with 0Kb. Here's the error i got:

Executing MkIsoFs. Commandline:
"C:\Programas\DVD2SVCD\DVDAuthor\mkisofs.exe" -o "E:\WUTemp\DVDImage.iso" -publisher "DVD2SVCD" -volid "" -dvd-video "E:\WUTemp\DVD-Files"
EIniFileException Unable to write to E:\WUTemp\AVISYNTH.INI

What i did that "solves" this is, go to CMD and and write:

"C:\Programas\DVD2SVCD\DVDAuthor\mkisofs.exe" -o "E:\WUTemp\DVDImage.iso" -publisher "DVD2SVCD" -volid "" -dvd-video "E:\WUTemp\DVD-Files"
And then it re-takes where it failed and finishes successfully.

Thanks.
