No Subtitle Previews in Nero Recode 2

When previewing a dvd in nero recode 2, there is only the audio preview option, the subtitle option is greyed out....what does this mean? The only way I can preview subtitles is to play them in PowerDVD and test them. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

OS is Win XP SP2

Subtitles are not supported in the preview.

Strange that all other 'right click' items are available though. Why bother having an option if it is permanently unavailable. It would sure be a good feature to help decide which subtitles are necessary to keep.
