I have used autogk for a long time.. I love it's great!!! However, i was trying to backup my dvd of stargate sg1 season6... I know, you don't have to bust on me... I like the show...lol, so I could put the episodes into my media center..
The audio, AC3, is about a second ahead of the video.. 700ms to be exact. I backed up all of my other sg1 season1-5 dvds just fine.. No audio troubles at all.
So I really have no clue as to why it's doing this.
Please help.

Does the sound differ in sync as you go through the movie? Does it start out on track and then deviate further from a perfect sync? Or is it a constant 2 or 3 seconds behind?
If it is the latter, it may be adviseable to use Nandub/VirtualDub(Mod) to change the delay of the audio track.

It starts out with the audio ahead of the video and stays that way. About a second ahead.
I used vdub to fix one episode... But I was hoping that there was something else.. Like I said, it worked fine for the first 5 dvd's with 20+ episodes on each. Now this dvd is driving me crazy.

You're using DVDDecrypter in IFO Mode, aren't you (Mode->IFO)? When you have DVDDecrypter open (in IFO Mode), you might check to see if the first chapter is about the length of the delay. If so, then uncheck that first chapter. If there are a couple of Cells, check if the first one is the length of the delay, and if so, uncheck it. Just hold the mouse over them to check the length.

Yes, I have been using dvd decrypter in ifo mode. here is the following info:
PGC1 [00:44:01]
Chapter Times
1 00:08:52
2 00:08:07
3 00:07:21
4 00:10:16
5 00:09:23
Total Time
00:43:59
cell 1 00:00:05
cell 2 00:08:46
If you add up the two cells, they equal 8:51.. The first chapter is suposed to be 8:52... There is my 1 second delay, when the audio is about 1 second ahead of the video.
So if I uncheck cell 1, won't that be too much?
Again, any help is great..
P.s.
If I watch the vob's that dvd decrypter created directly with zoom player.. The audio is in sync.

It was just a thought. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Unless someone has another idea, I don't see anything for it but to remux with the delay after AutoGK gets done with it.
I know, you don't have to bust on me... I like the show

I was thinking some more (maybe not such a good idea). You might try unchecking that first cell anyway and then let AutoGK have a go at it. You wouldn't even have to do a full episode, maybe just the first chapter, enough to get some dialog to check the audio synch. I don't know what's in the first cell, but if it's just a black screen, then it can't hurt much to delete it. Shouldn't take too long to find out if that helps.

OK, I'll bite. What do you like? Which TV Series DVD boxsets would you (or others) like to own? Smallville? ER? Friends? Seinfeld (just starting to come out)? Sex And The City? The Sopranos? Buffy? 24? Star Trek Voyager? West Wing? Angel? OC? Alias? Mr. Show? Simpsons? Futurama?
So many shows and so little time.
I know! The Simple Life! Or maybe Anna Nicole Smith's show? :)

Very true about time issue - recently I couldn't watch many movies trying to catch up with some shows :)
Regarding what I like - unfortunalety most of the stuff I really like is getting cancelled almost straightaway due to:
- too difficult to follow (complex story arcs)
- too original to understand from the beginning
- too expensive
So this list: Dark Angel, Angel, FireFly, Jake 2.0, Wonderfalls will have additions soon for sure :(
So at present moment (i.e. what's running now) I do have a few favourites but by no means think they are the best shows out there:
- Las Vegas (pure entertaining, nothing serious)
- Dead Like Me (something original and not like other shows, very well written)
- Lost (just started, probably is going to be the best new show)
- Alias (again if JJ Abrams manages to keep the show interesting, coz its very uneven throughout the seasons)
I stopped watching 24, because there is only so much of "longest days of Jack Bauer" I can get :) I'm trying to watch Joey, but its pretty sad to be honest. Tried Medical Investigation, but dropped it as well. My friends are trying to get me into Gilmore Girls and OC, but I'm kinda sceptical about them (although I haven't seen any yet).
Regarding DVDs that I own - its all of Joss Whedon (Angel, Buffy, FireFly), first two season of 24 and all Friends (which is more of a habbit - it was the first TV show I ever watched :)). I would gladly buy Jake 2.0 if it was released on DVD as well as planning to buy Dead Like Me.
P.S. I should probably say that Sci-Fi and cartoons are not my favourite genres (not that I think they are not good, just my personal preference). FireFly was really good though (and Farscape looks good is well, but I'm struggling to finish last two season)
P.P.S. And of course I don't watch reality shows :D

Its only thing you could try really... DVD was probably mastered somehow different (I hope you're using latest DVDDecrypter).

I unchecked the first cell in each episode.. It took away the mgm roaring lion that starts each show. The audio sync problem is gone!!!!!
And I am using the latest version of dvd decrypter
Thanks for the help!

Jake 2.0 was the best show on TV last season - too bad the UPN execs thought America's Top Model was better and cancelled it, just when the story line was starting to develop and mature.
This is one of the best J20 fan sites that I've found, they're running a petition to get Paramount to release the series on DVD.
I also heard rumours that SciFi may resurrect the program with some new episodes, but never saw anything firm on that - was probably just internet chatter. Too bad.

i have the same sync issues when playing on my pinnacle showcenter but this is not auto gk's fault in the least. pinnacle is fixing this.
is the movie in sync when watching the divx/xvid file on your PC? or just your media server? mine's out of sync about 500 ms as well and i use virtualdub manually to move the audio over to where it's in sync on the media server.
