Converted DVD to VCD with subtitle, found out that the subtitle came before the sound about 5-10 seconds. What's the problem ? Thank in advance for any help.

And the video?
Is the sound sync with video?
The subtitles were external or u used the subtitkes from your DVD?
please be more explicit.

The sound sync, only the subtitle came before the sound. Got subtitle from the dvd. However, I tried not to change NTSC to PAL and the result is better -- only diff one second.

BTW, used DVD decrypter to decrypt the dvd and got I/O errors, however, when select "Retry", can get some more bytes. But must "retry" for hundreds -- no thousand of times. Any better method ?

Thanks for your kindness.

If anything (sound, subs) is out of sync, always try re-ripping with DVD2SVCD's internal routines. This nearly always sorts the problem.

I have never tried using NTSC2PAL with subs so cannot comment on that.

I second Nick's suggestion ...
If you run into sync problems later on, however, the first recommendation will be to use d2s' internal routines. (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=82540#post546779)... in fact Keat got that recommendation even before the problem occured :D.
