Dvd Playing Error -Need Help- Possible Ifoedit solution?

I did a backup of The Edge. It has a simple still menu. I used the big three + cce + scenarist and at the end I used ifoupdate + ifoedit. I've done this method probably 30 times with no problem.

I tried playing the files in power dvd and it played the two intro warning screens (then it was supposed to go to the main menu) but it completely stopped playing.

Is there someway I can fix this navigation error in ifoedit? And tell the files, after the warnings, to go to the main menu? I don't know why this simple navigation error was produced. And unfortunately, I couldn't simply hit the menu button to bypass this screen (even tho I removed p-uops).

Also, I am a complete ifoedit n00b so step by step or a link would be appreciated to being able to fix this navigation error. Thank you very much.

I'm not sure what the problem could be, but PgcEdit might be able to help you. PgcEdit allows you to add/remove commands in the PGCs, so it might be able to solve your navigation problem (I am a newbie myself so take what I'm telling you with a grain of salt).
If I were you I'd open my DVD in PgcEdit and go to the first play PGC in the VMG domain, and look at the initializations being done there. You *might* be able to put a command to jump to the main menu at the end of the precommand in the first play PGC (that would even bypass the warnings). You'd have to be able to locate where your main menu is (which VTS?), and use a JumpSS instruction. This may not work because you might miss some other initializations that happen before and after the warnings are played.
If that fails, can you locate the PGCs that correspond to the warnings? If so, still using PgcEdit, you could add a command to go to the main menu after the last postcommand of your second warning PGC (CallSS command I think), but that will only work if the warning PGC is in the same VTS as the main menu.
If they're not, then the situation is more complicated because you need to go back to a dummy PGC in the VMG setup to bounce to the main menu...

If this sounds complicated, I think it is! Before embarking on that route, maybe you should try to re-backup your DVD, it might end up being less of a headache than trying to fix it. Or you could go to the original DVD and look at the normal program flow and see where it got broken in your backup, but that's not easy to do.

does the project open in dvdshrink?
thats what i always use to check dvd compatability as if theres anything wrong with it it will pop up an error.

When I open the files in dvdshrink it says,

"Dvd shrink encountered an error and can not continue"

Invalid data in file "C:\edge\VTS_01_1.VOB"

That is one of the main movie vobs....really weird...I can open it up individually in powerdvd fine.

Any clues?

Try doing this. Open up one of your IFOs in IfoEdit and click on Get VTS Sectors. Did you get any corrections? Try processing through DVD Shrink again.

Another solution is doing a mock VOB ID & streams strip with your VTS_01_0.IFO in IfoEdit again.

I did and it corrected the sectors. However, the same error occured in dvd shrink.

Another solution is doing a mock VOB ID & streams strip with your VTS_01_0.IFO in IfoEdit again.
How would I go about doing this? If I can tell the dvd to go directly to the menu upon playing or to play the movie, I'll be fine. It just stops after the warning logos strangely.

I did a workaround using ifoedit. I set the disk to immediately start playing the movie and everything seems to be good now!
