Hi,
I just installed the rippack and codec (downloaded from www.doom9.org). As soon as I went to configure the first pass for DivX my modem started dialing. The firewall says it is gordianknot.exe (or close to that). Is this the DivX portion dialing? The license says something about doing this. The Doom9 help on this issue is a bit dated, and things now appear to be different. I am NOT asking for a hack, rather I want to know the cause, and if I pay for DivX Pro 5.2.1 will the dialing stop. If I block access the GK program closes.
I looked for information but so far have not located what I need, so I appreciate your knowledge in this regard.
