Help Rebuilding Ifos

1st - I´ve done some search around tne forum and in the net so sorry if the answers was gaven but i still wana try if something new is arround
2nd - Sory for my English :)

the question is I HAVE THE ORIGINAL R2 DVD for Identity portuguese edition but the disc is scratched by my kid (i know i should have been more carefuly not letting the dvd around :( ) and i could onl get some files of the dvd intact so i have :
VTS_01_0 vob VTS_01_1 vob wich are menu vob VTS_02_0 to 5 vob ifo and bup wich are the film and vts 03_0 to VTS_12_0 vob ifo and bup wich are extras / trailers so i think i miss Video_ts vob ifo bup and VTS_01_0 ifo and bup SO the question is there anyway i can keep the original menus working since i miss those files like rebuilding the or so?

While it is possible to do what you ask, but it is a complex and manual project with strong knowledge of IFOedit and/or PgcEdit tool. Since you own the original, I think legitimacy is not a problem, so the easy solution would be:
(1)Rent a copy and restore what was damaged.
(2)Or some kind person would send you the video_ts.vob, hoping it is small enough.

I'm new to these forums jf, but I have found that if you put all the vobs of your main movie (VTS_02*.*) in a folder (no IFOs or BUPs), you can open IFOEdit and without loading any IFO files, press "Create IFO's".

IFOEdit will rebuild a new set of IFOs for you. You can then test it in a software player before burning.

I do understand, however, that in order for a DVD to run, there must be a VTS_01 set of files. So, perhaps you need to copy them over them as well.

Since creating new IFOs only produces a single TitleSet, with no menus, backup, the VOBs used will be always renamed as VTS_01_#.VOB accordingly. If this method is used, I would highly suggest doing "Get VTS Sectors" afterwards. ;)
