I thought a search would give me this answer but I came up empty.
System Windows XP,256MB Ram,AMD 1600
ASus TVFM capture card
Capturing with Virtual Dub at 640x480 audio at 48,000 16 bit stereo using either Huffy or Xvid the sound on a long 2:26:00 capture is way off and the pattern of the error is erratic. The audio will not play back smoothly in Virtual Dub although it will in BSplayer (but it is still way out of sync)
If I capture uncompressed I have a lot less frames dropped and the capture is in sync. Do I need a stronger processor, more ram or just a better configured system to do a long compressed capture and have it come out in sync.
