Hi,
Recently I downloaded a native .TS HDTV MPEG2 transport stream of a broadcast of the music group Phish that was shown on PBS (The IT special)...
I own a JVC30K DVHS VCR and wanted to transfer this native stream to a DVHS tape and watch it on my HDTV in all its HD glory...however, I seem to have hit upon a snag..
The .TS file is about 4.3 GB in size and I have tried to transfer it to my DVHS VCR (via the Firewire input) using DVHSTool or WrtDVHSTool and in each case, the transfer goes smoothly until about 1 hr and 1 min and then the picture goes into a freeze frame and the VCR keeps recording the still image...Now, the thing to remember is that I am not controlling the VCR, its the software tool I am using (DVHSTool or WrtDVHS)...
Can anyone puuhlease offer any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot this problem....I would appreciate any help...I am new to the HDTV front in terms of getting to know it technically, but consider myself to be quite technically proficient upto the DVD level video standard and can troubleshoot stuff up to that level...these HDTV transport streams etc. are new to me...
Thanks
Rajiv
