hey folks, i'm building a new HTPC (home theater pc). i have a bunch of .TS (transport) files, most of which are 720p but a few are 1080. i keep my resolution at 800x600 because that's what my projector runs at natively (infocus X1). would the following specs be enough to playback TS files?

video = ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128mb
cpu = p4 3.2ghz 800fsb
ram = 1gb @ 400mhz DDR
mobo chipset = Intel 865G

maybe i need more ram in the video card? any help is appreciated. thanks!

btw, i have several XviD files at 720p... will this be able to handle mpeg4 decoding at such a high resolution?

You should have no problem. Ive played 1080i and 720p on a 2.26ghz P4 and a 1700+ Athlon using videolan. The 720p xvid files should play fine, hell i've even played some 720p xvid material on my 733mhz xbox.
