Apologies if this post is in the wrong place.
I have a digital camera which takes good photos. I would like a program which would allow me to create a slideshow with my photos, add background music to it, convert it to a foramt that my DVD Player can understand and than burn it onto a DVD. This way, I can play the DVD and see all my photos on the TV. Can someone please help me with a name of the program ?
thanks and apologies again.

Sorry about that. Not many posts. Will do better next time, I promise. Also, thanks for finding the other post. Appreciate it greatly.

I've done this process very recently. I used a freeware program called Slideshow moviemaker which builds all of the pictures and whatever transitions you choose into an .avi file, which you could then use whichever mpeg encoder you choose (TMPGENC, CCE, etc). Then just author it with dvd authoring software (DVD-Lab, Scenarist, etc.). Results look very impressive.

Alternatively, if you have DVD-Lab, you can create a slideshow and author the DVD all in DVD-Lab, though I've found that the pictures come out rather blurry (at least on the pictures that I was using, which were at a strange resolution).

Adobe Premiere also has this ability, although that is a pricy option for just a few dvds here and there.

Cheers!

Many thanks to Cyberbob25 and niann. Shareware sounds good so I'll try that first.

I use ProShow Gold to make my slideshows. Itīs easy and friendly to use. Has tens of FX transitions between the slides and allows you to select what kind of output result you want. You can get a free trial version at http://www.photodex.com/downloads/trials.html
Have a good Show!
