When I try to install the Canopus DV decoder v1.02 downloaded from the Canopus website, i get an error right after doubleclicking the setup.exe. A window titled "16 bit windows subsystem" pops up, with the error message: "C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application." with a "close" and a "ignore" button. Which ever I press, setup closes.

Enyone have a workaround, or an alternative source for the installer?

mmmh... Maybe you should download the file again. There must be a problem with the archive. Or read the programs that don't work with DV Codec : http://www.canopus.com/US/Products/DV_Codec/pm_dvcodec.asp

I downloaded it 3 times. And it doesn't matter which programs don't work, i'm just trying to install it in WinXP.

The problem is autoexec.nt, not Canopus DV decoder. Try to find autoexec.nt in "C:\windows\system32\" directory, ... there is not for sure ! You have to copy again autoexec.nt to this directory, it will work.

It could happen again if you will restart computer, maybe some kind of hidden program is deleting this file - I do not know. Try to run some firewall in this case, you will see.
