What would be the cause of my video opening up the Directshow viewing window but not displaying or even playing on it. This is of course after I push the preview tab.
PS have a similiar issue with previewing video in Reauthorist. Attempts to play but I get no picture... Do I need to load a new direct x driver or something?? or is it with the app?

Post your DirectX filters. You'll see them when you press DVD Play in IfoEdit v0.96.

DSound Renderer
Nero Video Decoder
AC3 Prologic Decoder
DVD Navigator
These are what I'm getting after DVD Play in ifoedit .96
P.S. I also get an message stating that "1 out of 3 DVD-video streams failed to render properly
-Video Stream "
Then asks if I want to continue...

Though I'm not the expert in this matter, I do know that when I installed PowerDVD, this is what I get from IfoEdit 0.96.
DSound Renderer
Video Renderer
Cyberlink Audio Decoder
Overlay Mixer
Line21 Decoder
CyberLink Video/SP Decoder
DVD Navigator
Most people here either have PowerDVD or WinDVD installed for playing a DVD on the computer. If someone comes along with freeware suggestion, I suggest you look into installing one of these commercial software. BTW, installing Elecard decoders produces errors with IfoEdit. I posted this discrepancy in this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=544788#post544788).

then "Cannot get the IVideoWindow interface"From the IfoEdit Q&A (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=18817) sticky thread...
7# Q: When I press DVD Play I get "cannot get the ivideowindow interface. Sorry, can't play dvd-video titles", what should I do?
A: The interface is not required, you can safely ignore this message. Just don't dismiss it (don't click "OK") and press DVD play again.

Interesting... I have powerdvd installed but do not have the cyberlink titles you have. Thinking my nero decoder isn't doing it for me. Also think I definitely need the line 21 decoder too....
How would I get one decoder preference over another?
