I've been getting this error on different movies on different and different disc's.

It was working earlier today then all of a sudden it's gone wack. I get this error at the start and half way though a burn.

The weirdes't past, i could burn a -RW without and problems, but a -R i can't.

I have used this media before without any problems.

I even re-burn't a previous dvd that had worked just to check and that one wont work now either.

Any help or extra questions that could lead to help would be apreciated.

Try another type of media. You might simply have a crappy batch of discs. Buying the same disc label doesn't always guarantee the same manufacturer. Preferentially try some quality media like Verbatim DLP.

I don't know if it's the media now, cause i tried to copy a disc to the HD and that is causing the same type of error.

I've un-installed it and installed the lastest version and it's still causing the same error.

I've tried different disc's from different spindels and different types.

Its odd.

Now ... it didn't give you a WRITE (to disc) error when you tried to READ a dvd, did it? There's also an excellent forum at dvddecrypter.com, btw ...
If you're sure it's not your hardware, have you tried it with a fresh install of windows?

I'll have a crack at that forum, thanks.

Ok, i might of been confusing.

I tried to burn to a dvd, it failed, so i tried a pervious movie that had already worked, failed again. Tried it on a RW, worked (odd).

I then tried to read another dvd but that didn't work either. The error messages were simmilar.

Using different media and different spindels.

A fresh install, i might try a repair. saves installing alot of programs again.
