Looks very promising.

few questions:
-Does it play XVID movies as well?
-Supports MP4 streaming (from Darwin Server)?
-Supports AAC, it didnt with last DIVX player, i tried?
-Supports MultiChan AAC?
-An Fullscreen option would be nice.
-Not an Mozilla plugin.

kay bit much asked, but VideoLan can do this, except there is very limited javascript support in their FF plugin and no GUI at all.
The combination of the two makes the plugin kinda useless, even with such a good player backing up.

Better look forward for next VideoLan release. From the next feature list, all this will be there in the next version.

Or does enyone knows how to embed MPC in an webpage?

Smok3: VLC supports an bunch of protocols, which includes RTSP which is used by for example Darwin Streaming server(DWS). DWS is the same streaming server delivered by MACOSX server edition.

The mac version has better management tools, but the windows version has an basic perl web based administration tools.

Quicktime obviously works perfect with DWS but lacks the support of multichan audio. Hope this will be availabe by next version.

Apple had promised QuickTime developers last year that multichannel audio would be supported, even via S/PDIF (CoreAudio). Hasn't happened yet.

Are you using IE coz the plugin only works with IE.
It did work on my pc.
Btw, tried some of ur AV samples, finally got my pc work properly and got my channel mapping right :)

I dont think Divx 'the company' supports mp4 container. Their Dibx player dont even play mp4 files.

Also, your player does not seem to like XviD, 3ivx and NeroDigital Mpeg4 "video only" streams in the .AVI container... But they will play if they are muxed into the .MP4 container.... why is this LordRPI?

I have to admit that the picture quality of the Divx player is very good. But it doesnt supports enough file formats to be my regular player like MPC does. On the otherhand, their web player is very interesting, just hope it supports more formats and an mozilla plugin will be available as well.
Porbably not on your feature list, would like to see rtsp and aac multichan support ;)
