No, I would not think so as the settings AutoGk uses are pretty fast (standard mode instead of slow, no qpel and no GMC).

The best thing you can do though is test it for yourself with a small clip.

Dr. Divx can convert most video formats, while AutoGK can only do MPEG-2. That's probably the only advantage Dr. Divx has.

If that doesn't bother you, I'd go with AutoGK. Like Mnl said, the settings it uses for Divx are a good combination of quality and speed, so you're probably not going to find anything faster without a noticable decrease in quality.

But, yes, testing things for yourself is always good.

Well, without any insinuation to create a big discussion: I know that this forum is more fan of Len0x's AutoGK tool, I can understand it too, first reason: It is FREE!
BUT: Putting away any costs, I've made a lot of DVD back ups useing both tools (AutoGK & Dr. DivX), even the same movie, and I must say, tring to be very objetive, that Dr. DivX was not only faster but also better video quality, considering that I use all the time DivX encoder... also with AutoGK.
Please, I am talking about my experiance, I've been using Dr. DivX for months with great results... also with Avisynth frameserving and added my own subtitles...Dr. DivX gave me the best quality. That's why I have a special heart for this tool.
I like AutoGK too, I use it too and I think it is also a great tool... and it is nice to have both too! :D
