Problem with VOBRator crashing

Hi!

I have problem with VOBRator crashing when I try to open any VOB file.
After I installed Service Pack 2 for Win XP I can't open any VOB file anymore. The program open it selfs fine and as long as it doesn't need to work it doesn't crash, but when I open any VOB it does.

Does someone know if there is anything I could do (except uninstall SP2) or if thre is any other program that works as VOBRator

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled VOBrator? I haven't used VOBbrator for a long time. What exactly is your main use for it?

It's not a installer/uninstaller. When you download it you just get a zip file and unpack it and run it.

It's to look what every stream with in the vob file contains. I use it to look, usually withing the Video_ts.vob to see the FBI warnings etc. SO I know which stream to remove.

VOBrator does not work well with WinXP. I got the error box most of the time. Sometimes if it does display the listing, you can move the error box out the way (dont close it) and it would kinda work. :(

Anyway, forget VOBrator, use the tool DVD2AVI downloadable from this site. :)

I haven't used VOBrator for a long time. I mainly used it for viewing video content associated with a VOB-id. Now, I just use IfoEdit, DVD Shrink, or DVD2AVI. The one thing I really wanted out of VOBrator was the changing of the stream ID and it doesn't work for me! :( I was trying to change my audio stream 0x80 to 0x81. Well anyways, I believe that VOBrator has ceased on development so any bugs with it now is what we have to live with. :(

Setting the compatibility mode to Windows 98/Me did the trick for me, no need to go into 256 colors...

It is very unstable and has been superceded by viewers in VobBlanker and PgcEdit.
