I'm using DVD2SVCD to encode some tv captures that I have lying around on my HD. I used to work with an older version of DVD2SVCD (I'm sorry I don't remember which one) and TMPEGEncoder and everything was fine.
Then I wanted to try out the Cinema Craft Encoder and I also updated my DVD2SVCD version to 1.2.2 build 3. I was very surprised how fast that encoder encodes my movies (using a 4 pass VBR) until I realized that it didn't only not encode multi pass (it only encoded 1 pass vbr) but it also encoded with 6000kb/s, which made the movie file way too large. bbmpeg then multiplexed movie and audio and cut at my specified point (200mb) so I always end up with only some minutes of my movies.
I tried different settings and found out that when I try to encode using multi pass VBR, CCE only encodes 1 pass VBR with 6000kb/s (whatever bitrate I want to use) and when I try to encode using 1 pass VBR CCE actually encodes with an image quality q=60 (needing 4 passes overall). CBR works fine. I tried different movies (different avi's and DVDs) and nothing changed.
I tried different stuff and I searched for a ploblem like this in the forum's database but couldn't find anything.
I'm using DVD2SVCD 1.2.2 build 3 and Cinema Craft Encoder SP Ver. 2.67.00.27 with Windows 2000 as OS. You can find a log-file at the bottom (log-file is about a 24minute movie (avi) that I wanted to encode to an svcd mpeg2 with 128kb/s audio and 988kb/s video so it fits on a 200mb disc).
Did I misunderstood some of the settings or do I have to update my CCE version (I don't know how up to date it is) or is anything else wrong?
Thanks for helping me.
