Hi everybody,
is it possible after a 2-pass encoding with Dr. DivX / DivX codec to use the existing .log file and to reencode the file with different settings (in particular with different bitrate)?
Thanks in advance!

bitrate changes shouldn´t matter. Other changes will, however.

The multiple passes are used to study the video - so when you change it, the codec compares an outdated "map" with the real world, perhaps not realizing the difference.

(Imagine a car navigation system telling you to drive on, because on it´s map everything´s clear - however, in the real world, there´s a construction site. Not good, eh?)

In addition, let's say you wanted to do a "slow" quality file as the end result, you can make your first pass "standard." This will reduce your total encoding time by about 50% while virtually unaffecting the end result.
