Hi everyone. I'm trying to find some skin/gui for Mplayer.
I'm using Windows, and i recently disscovered a very good player that does everything i need (and much more). It's the only thing that can run (most) movies smoothly on PII-266 cpu. I now that this player is primary made for Linux. But there is a beta windows version that i'm using.
This thing is that i'm trying to find some simple Skin/gui, so i can control basic things like vomume with moust. I've searched on Mplayer's homepage and in Google - but i can find only skins for Linux. Is there any for windows?

I personally do not know of any full gui as you would like it for the windows version of mplayer. There are some in mplayer's homepage but I think they are just launchers. But I haven't really looked for one so there might be something out there. My advice though is to learn the keyboard shortcuts and use them instead.

afaik, you can't use the original guis with mplayer/win32. it's due to a missing lib (_might_ be integration with gtk+2 but i'm not sure). the available guis are plain VB or similar with few buttons that allow you to open a file, and play it. some allow you to configure the player a bit. but nothing of the skins that are available for the linux version.

MPlayer Control is a 3rd party GUI that basically wraps around mplayer. Unlike the launchers this one can do basic functions such as pause, stop, play, next, back and volume control.

It's quite good but I still prefer the command line only version and keyboard shortcuts :)
