Display mode conversion, Help needed

I am trying to encode a movie from avi ( divx) to make vcd/svcd using TMPGEnc, info of the file using Gspot is as follow:
480*256 1.88:1

but there is no option on such a format in TMPGEnc, I want to know what to set for VCD and SVCD,for NTSC output. I have chose SVCD 480*480 but the picture looks long,

any idea or a tutorial? appreciate your help.

not sure about the aspectic ratio, but Video arrange Method should be: Full screen (keep aspectic ratio), that's what i uses

Get the latest build of DVD2SVCD. Select your AVI file in the Cnversion tab and select "16:9 (Add borders, encode as 4:3) in the "Aspect Ratio out" box.

It will resize this file perfectly for you.
