img instead of bin file

The file image containing the movie I'm trying to record is in .img format. I've used IsoBuster, but the most it seems to be able to do is convert the movie to .tao format. The file is over 2 gigs, and I want to convert to SVCD. I've Googled & checked FILExt (and, of course, checked this forum's Q&A and done a search), but no luck. I know it will turn out to be something really simple & I will feel like a complete idiot for not figuring it out myself, but at this point I'm willing to bear the humiliation. :stupid:

the img extension is used by CloneCD but there are many other programs that use it check it HERE (http://filext.com/alphalist.php?extstart=%5EI)
