Hi!

Why the heck is the default priority on "low"? I was about to start encode multiple files in a row, but it's taking much longer because of this "setting". Can I change it?

Example: start of the encoding of the file1
demuxing and indexing: priority low
analyzing source: priority low
running comp. test: priority low
first & second pass: priority low

how can i get the default priority for these to "high" or even to "normal". i know that i can change the priority from the windows task manager but it's quite annoying with 6 files in a row

Open DGIndex->Option->Process Priority
Open VDubMod->Options->Preferences->Process Priority

I don't know if AutoGK resets them or not. But I keep my VDubMod on Idle. It doesn't slow me down a bit unless I'm doing something else on the computer while encoding. And most people find that having it set below normal to be good, as it behaves real sluggishly otherwise. If you find it slows you down, I'd do a Ctrl/Alt/Delete to see what you have in the background that may be eating computer cycles. And maybe do a Start->Run->msconfig->Startup to see what's loaded at startup and eating memory. If all you're going to do is encode, like maybe overnight, turn off everything else not absolutely necessary.

"low" priority in task manager means nothing to vdubmod as it has different priority management as manono described. AutoGK cannot change priority of both DGindex and VDubMod externally. But VDubMod can remember its settings.

P.S. on some hardware/software configurations ppl reported that VDubMod works weird if you see "low" as its priority in task manager. But its a system problem and not common.
