Hello, another new guy here with what is probably a really tedious question....I have done a search but cant find a straight forward answer, so Im hoping some of you guys can offer some help before I throw the pc out of the window....
Ive just installed a new dal format burner its a liteon 12x dual format, my problem is with using dvd shrink, any time I try to burn to anything other than a 2.4x dvd+r it rejects the disk but nero will burn to other disks fine, what am I doing wrong?

when burning in dvdshrink, do you use the nero engine, or dvddecrypter?
maybe this is the source of your problem...
anyway, i like to always test my dvds before i burn them to an actual disk, so i just let dvdshrink create the iso file, mount it with deamon tools then, test it, and if i like the final result, i burn it with dvddecrypter in iso mode...

I have been letting dvd shrink use nero to burn, but I have used nero to burn the decrypted files to disk with success, problem only seems to be happening when using dvd shrink alone.
But it works fine when using dvd+r at 2.4x speed, but like I said, with the new burner shouldnt it be working with other formats?
Thanks for the help
Dave.

I recall some burning idiosyncracies in versions 3.1 and 3.2 of Shrink. Try disabling the "Enable burning with Nero" option.
Edit > Preferences > File I/O tab > Disable the Nero checkbox under "Burn Settings". Don't worry if you're burning with Nero, this won't affect you. Let us know if this helps.

Thanks to both of you for the input.
Like I said, I can bur with nero on its own, but when using dvd shrink I get problems, so its a problem with shrink then and not me doing something wrong?
