hi and welcome to the forum,

of course some of us use dvdrebuilder, but in order to be able to help you, you will have to be way more specific... e.g. post your log files, state your settings, what encoder you are using, etc, etc

Voodooman you need to be more specific, we need more info .
Do you have an error message? your computer stops?, what version of Rebuilder are you using? are you using RB with cce (version?), QuEnc or ReJig.

@Voodooman
Open the folder where you have the Rebuilder program files. There you will find a file named rebuilder Configuration settings. Double click the file and it opens in Notepad. Copy the contents of that file and paste in your reply here at Doom9.

The contents of the configuration file will go a long way in diagnosing problems. It is one of the better starting points. Also, list the version of Rebuilder being used. You can get 0.59 here at Doom9, so you should be using that. Also, we need the software program you're using and version of the software, and is it a trial or retail. If you will provide the above listed information, it will go a long way in helping to figure out your problem. Otherwise, we only know you're having a problem getting a file size that will fit a 4.7GB DVD +R. There are different causes and solutions. Your info is needed first.

Does that help? Is that what I was suppose to do?

At least try to answer gorangel's questions. These can help us to help you more. ;)

Do you have an error message with DVD Rebuilder?

Does your computer stop processing in a certain mode? (Prepare, Encode, or Rebuild)

What version of Rebuilder are you using?

Are you using RB with CCE (version?), QuEnc or ReJig.

@Voodooman

It looks as though you've set up the program improperly or you didn't give us all of the file. Here is what a working configuration file looks like for RB version 0.59 using the CCE Basic Retail version 2.69:

[Options]
OneClick=1
NoWarn=1
LoadPlugin=1
AudioDub=0
idct7Opt=1

My MPEG2Dec3dg.dll file is in a different location from the guide and the Paths for the CCE program and MPEG2DEC will depend on where you locate the files. They have to be in the Configuration file though. The language setup is optional, I set it for English only for audio and titles. So, except for the paths and language setup and a different CCE choice (for your SP trial) the file should be about the same. Yours isn't.

Also you note having a trial version of SP. (The Basic trial will not work due to a 3 min encode limit.) I noticed the CCE=1 setting for SP. The setup for SP is different from Basic so hopefully you will read the guide and follow the SP Trial instructions. Also, you should be using the latest version of Rebuilder (0.59). It's downloadable here at Doom9.

I'll include a working configuration for a retail version of CCE SP to give you an idea of the similarity (Not the trial). The trial requires the ECLCCE and the retail doesn't.

This one had the source and working path where a movie was being recorded.

I showed you these to give you an idea of what correct Configuration files look like. What you showed us indicates a faulty setup. You need to delete the contents of the Configuration file and start over and set up the program properly. Use the basic settings until you get it working and then you can tweak it.

Just a note. A lot of people have had problems with these programs using trials. The Basic version of CCE is an excellent program and works flawlessly with RB and is easily setup. It only costs about $59 and is worth every penny.

The configuration shows he finished and he says fitting file to disc size (sounds like it didn't compress). Voodooman should have given the file size. So, it completed and probably no error messages.

He is using CCE SP Trial (probably 2.67) it would have been nice to have it confirmed (2.67 is the current download).

We know he should be using 0.59 Rebuilder. He should know it now.

So, it appears he is using CCE SP Trial with a configuration file that isn't setup properly, or he gave us an incomplete file. Plus there are standard settings missing and additions that shouldn't be included until the program is setup and running properly.

A further note. Sometimes after trying multiple versions and resetting trials it is necessary to completely delete the Rebuilder CCE setup and reinstall it to get the compression to work properly. I tried different options and got my setup working, then I had a problem of over compression. Deleting and reinstalling the program solved the problem. It works perfect now. Just follow instructions closely for the SP Trial setup. Try clearing the Configuration settings file and redoing the program setup first.

sorry. I am new at this let me try again.

ok The disk size originally was about 6 gigs and it compressed to about 5 gigs.

I was using the trial of the SP. By the way is QuEnc any good?

I got no file error at all, it's jsut after I rebuilt everthing it was 5gigs instead of 4.

When this problem happened Iwas using rebuilder 0.58b I chanage to 0.59b and it seemed to work. But I would like to know what I did wrong before. I am sorry but I delete the ecl file for the old rip.

Thanks for the configs brobar. Is therewebsite explaining each different setting?

Also I was wondering if the CCE work like the divx codec? can I use it to encode home movies in virtualdub? Also why does everyone day it's so good?

try it and see. :)

no CCE is not a video codec, it is a complete program.

Also why does everyone day it's so good?
maybe because it has been around for a long time and people have used it a lot and found it to be good 99.9% of the time(there is always the exeption to the rule which is why i dont say 100%). :)

Thank's Voodooman for the rest of the info. I read a lot of it from the Configuration settings, but part needed to be confirmed. However, next time you send a file that's requested, don't edit out the necessary parts; i.e. the path information. If your name is in the info, just put in Xs to replace it.

As far as doing something wrong with the program; you may not have done anything, unless there was a minor fault in the setup. Jdobbs said there was a minor flaw in the 0.58 version. I heard that was for a 0003 Buffer Overflow though. Anyway he quickly remedied the problem and put out 0.59. So, ReBuilder version 0.58 is a definite "do not use" for everyone.

You asked for additional information on the Rebuilder CCE settings. I don't know of one that goes over each additional setting, but here is an article that gives some additional information on the program setup.
