Burning plain old folders

Hi. I am looking for a burning software like Nero but a freeware since I can't afford Nero 6 at the moment.
Which tool are most popular here at doom9.org?

Just need to burn folders and files and music to the cd (not dvd).

As far as I know, there is no free burning software "like" Nero, although there is freeware available that you can accomplish this with. A simple search will turn up possible candidates.

You never finish out a thread. Recently, I requested that you tell us how you'd solved the problem with your new NEC burner, which you either ignored, or forgot about. Having posted several times since on DVDShrink and burning related issues, I assume you overcame your problems. If others can take the time to offer advice and suggestions, please have the courtesy to take the time to tell us which of them you used, or if you came up with a fix on your own.
