Hi, good evening. I have had a trawl through the forums, and not yet found a resolution to my issue. Apologies if there is already one listed.

I have installed Auto Gordian knot, one of several ways. Either as the rip pack, or just as itself. I am also using DVD Decrypter, so everything is as standard.

DVD Decrypter works fine, no issues. However when I attempt to use Auto GK, I cant get any sound whatsoever, either on the preview, or by generating the avi file.

Driving me mad..... I have a Windows XP machine, 512mb ram, and 2.8ghz celeron, which I think should be more than enough.

Any suggestions would be greatly received.

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

If your audio is in Dolby Digital (.ac3) format, you may need to install and configure Ac3Filter (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Filters/ac3filter_0_70b.exe). But without seeing a log file, that's just a guess.

Hi evbdy

well my pbm is that after doing a back-up (...of a DVD I own :D ), I m having a sound/image synch pbm. Every so often (keyframe ???) its ok but then pretty quickly it becomes outta synch until the next (keyframe ???) time (every 10sec or so)...
Plus it took me *hours* (like 20h or more !!!) to convert* and in the end I had 3 files (1 of the whole film ~ 1300MB and two that would fit on a CD each 700MB + 350MB ... weird)

AutoGK log here (http://membres.lycos.fr/rnidesign/stuff/agk.log).

Thx for Ur help

please... before I "download the latest version and try again" ...and therefore spend another 20hours doing the conversion, can you give me a *little bit* of a clue about what I could be doing wrong ?!?!?

thx

I think size issue is what is described in FAQ Q 6.3 (when ppl start reading it first?). Play back issue IMHO is simply because your PC is not powerful enough to play high-bitrate/high res videos (different decoder/player might help).

Ive looked and couldn't find that FAQ. Can you guys be a bit more helping please by giving links to validate your points. Telling someone he's a noobs in a newbie forum is fairly easy, helping him is even better...
