Hi all,
I am looking for a replacement tv tuner for my old hauppauge WinTV theater. I have a choice between 2 cards: the Pinnacle PC TV Pro and the Kworld V-Stream DV/AV Expert TV Stereo. I did a little research and the Pinnacle card has a BT878a chip on it and the Kworld card has a CX23883 chip.
My usage pattern is mainly watching NTSC TV and capturing said TV to re-encode with virtualdub. I would like to maybe set up a mythTV box with this card eventually though, so which card has better linux support is a factor. Being that I am capturing with this card, capture quality is a concern also. What do you guys recommend?
