Working for me too. No errors on Band of Brothers box set (UK Pal) when tested with scr.exe, when previous to RB V0.59(Beta)there were errors.
Thanks jdobbs.

Just as a further confirmation, with .59 i get no more errors with scr.exe, were there where previously plenty of them. Until the last, unfortunately already burned one (lost in translation), everything played flawless. maybe i have to re-rebuild :)
Thanks to everybody for this awsome investigation and fixing work!

I think it will be alright, as those SCR values don't seem to have had a lot of impact (probably because the NAVPACK resyncs the clock). But here's a little trick if you want to rebuild quickly from a previously burned disc...
1. Put the disc in the drive and select it in DVD-RB
2. Choose "ReJig" as the option and three-click mode, and run the "Prepare." This will demux all the segments. Then exit DVD-RB.
3. Use the command prompt and go into the D2VAVS directory and type "ren *.mpv *.m2v"
4. Edit the REBUILDER.INF file and change "Progress=1" to "Progress=2"
5. Reopen DVD-RB and push the "Rebuild" button.
I've done it may times while testing the Rebuild functions.

Were the fixes in the Prepare or Rebuild phase? I.e., if I still have my "Rebuilt" directory on disk, can I start with step 3?
Thanks!

The fixes for the SCR error was in the Rebuild phase.

... skip ...
You are very generous saying "...a lot of impact..." I see no impact at all, judging from user reports...
To state it clearly, as it seems, the timing anomalie issue is solved, but it is turning out to be just a formal improvement for the compliancy with some DVD standards; no relevant impact provided towards the solution of the pending open issues of DVD-RB regarding audio dropouts and video stutters.
I am really sorry for this and for all the time you have spent on the whole matter, cause of my insistent pushes.
All the best, for now
and I say again: I am afraid

P.S. I don't want to terrify the whole forum,
but I will keep doing further investigations...

Frankly I was convinced too... but, the code was supposed to be DVD compliant in terms of it's SCR generation -- and now it is.

Hope I'm not clouding the issue, but I recently used 0.57 to back-up my 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' DVD (R2 PAL ENGLISH). When played on either of my Standalones (Pioneer NS-DV55 & KiSS DP-450), the movie suffered from occasional audio dropouts (no video stutter though).
The Vobs sure enough contained SCR errors (38 in the first Vob alone), so I demuxed the streams and "reauthored" them in Maestro, pasted over and Ifo-Updated. SCR errors gone and audio droputs cured when played on the standalones.
Have just rebuilt the 0.57 output with 0.59 and the SCR errors have now been removed, tested again on both standalones and the audio dropouts now no longer occur.
So, in my case anyway, :D .
Thanks jdobbs for your continual outstanding work with Rebuilder.

Thats really a good tip, however, I still have the d2vavs dir on my HD, so I can rerebuild right away :)
I'm very sorry if all the work was indeed just for "green table compliance"...
are you really sure? I will test right away on lost in translation, wich had heavy stuttering already in powerdvd; but it was only in a few not so improtant extras, so I burnt it anyway...
keep up the great work!
(looking forward to ilvu processing)

I have not done a movie backup since .56. I did one last night with .59 and my audio dropouts are gone. My problem DVD player a Panasonic seems to be working fine now.

OK, I re-rebuilded lost in translation. At first i will describe the problems with ver 0.58:
Although the main movie played flawlessly on powerdvd (which is where I also wach my movies), some specials (trailers) had heavy stuttering (almost like you accidentally had gone havoc with your mouse wheel/fast forward/rewind). I think this appeared already while playing the DVD-dir directly from the HD. I burnt it anyway, because I a) wanted to free my HD, b) didn't care so much for the trailers and c) no risk, no fun...
However, now I rebuilded again the project with ver 0.59, and the stutters are completely gone!! :)
I don't know exactly what this means, but I'm sure this issue will be nailed sooner or later...

Well, the good news is that the changes had some positive affect. More importantly, it eliminates the SCR problem. All two million or so of the packs on a disc are supposed to be a minimum of 146.286/90,000 seconds (~1.625ms) apart -- and now they are.

Yes Jdobbs, it seems that your fix has VERY positive effects.
