I'm trying to convert the making of the matrix vob, I'm loading the IFO VTS_03 which constitutes of VOB3_1 and VOB3_2 well the whole movie is encoded to:
Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC_FS1.mpv ---> 2.97GB

but when using the BBMPEG which is the next step after using ccencoder, the video is reduced to:
bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg ---> 788MB??

and rather then having the 44-45min only has 12min!.
the ended up BIN and CUE consist of only 1BIN&CUE combination:

CD_Image_File_CD1.bin ---> 799MB
CD_Image_File_CD1.cue

I extracted the AVSEQ01.MPG and it containsts as well 12min!

What is wrong with BBMPEG that cuts my video? and what can I do to make SVCD make the bins complete?

Can you post your log file(dvd2svcd_log.txt) for us @CCEncoder?

Sounds like there is something weird going on there, from your .mpv file size anyway.

I see nothing....?!

I think this is yet another case of me not being all that clear.....Copy and paste your logfile in a post, so the whole brains trust here can have a look, that way you've got some chance of getting a sensible answer from someone:p

I reckon it's the one pass VBR setting you used in the encoder tab, that could lead to anything in the video file size department(like a 2.97GB .mpv).

If you want to do (mostly) 1 pass VBR use the exellent D2SRoBa plugin.

Otherwise set it on 3 pass VBR and it will nail the filesize thing.

One 44min SVCD would have to be 800MB to fit on a CD-R?

2.97GB is bigger than the .vob's you started with?

You want DVD2SVCD to use CCE to re-encode your DVD source down to size, BBmpeg is only used to cut and mux here.You got a 12min bin&cue because your bitrate is way over the top, BBmpeg just cut at 800mb, it didn't care about minutes, just the correct size to fit on the 1 CD-R you specified.

Interesting... so how do I make svcd use cce properly to encode the vob aproperly? what bitrate is causing problems? I thought the bitrate was standard for svcd.

Please do not attach logfiles.

Your D2S log is a simple text file. Open it in notepad -> Select All -> Copy. Then make a reply to this thread, then simply Paste the entire logfile into it and click submit.

Cheers
Nick

Once the whole world can see what settings you use I'm sure you'll get some help :)

try to load your VOB files directly on DVD2AVI and check you it loads the entire movie and you u can preview it... check if you can extract the whole audio (ac3 file)...
i'm telling you this 'cause you need to know if there's no problems with your source files
