if it's been answered already, please direct me to the proper thread. but i haven't seen any answers so far through my browsing.

i have an improperly encoded VCD, and thus, after burning, won't play properly on my DVD player. is there some program that can change the resolution without actually re-encoding the file? something similar to dvdpatcher.

thanks.

You can use Restream, but DVDPatcher is the better choise.;)

i wanted to do vcd->vcd. i dont think dvdpatcher lets u do that. i jus looked into Restream. i think that only does MPEG-2 streams.

anything else?

DVDPatcher should do it.
Use VCDGear/VCDEasy etc to rip the mpeg stream. Doom9 downloads will find either of these softwares. I use VCDEasy. Select tools and then just direct VCDXrip to the drive or image file for your VCD.

DVD Patcher will patch the mpeg.
Set to custom bitrate of 1150000
Horizontal resolution 352
Vertical resolution, custom 240(NTSC) or 288 (PAL)
then patch.

Reauthor your VCD using the same software and it *should* work.

Cheers
