Question about duel layer burners

Does anyone know how these disk play in set top players, any compatability issues, also, if you went this way what is the procedure for doing a backup? Is it just rip the whole original disk to you drive and then burn that video_ts folder? Or is there more to it?

With DVDDecrypter you can do a perfect 1:1, check out the latest version and the Decrypting forum.
I think if your settop player is pretty new, it'll play fine.

i have the Pioneer DVR-A08XL and the double layered disks plays fine on my computer, set-top player and even the xbox. I authored with Scenarist and burned with DVDDecrypter - the layer break was right where i assigned it. i havent tried burning with nero yet...as i read there are some problems
