Hi,
Sorry for this inconviniency.
I am very unsure about the machine
I would like to buy for my TV. I mean :
a machine which, connected to the TV,
is a DVD, CD Player and a VCR Player at
the same time.
Any suggestions ?
That will be very nice of you.
Please accept my best regards
Marie

At least 1GHz, 128MB RAM, with a tv-out :)
If you wish to play HDTV content, you need at least a P4 2.4GHz for RealVideo content or 1.5GHz for MPEG4.
Good luck :D

Sirber, while you are recommending a pc solution, i believe MarieO, is asking for guidance about purchasing a DVD/VCR combo for their home entertainment system. something like this:
Sony SLV-D350P DVD/VCR Player (http://about.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=2590508)
MarieO,
if you ask any home entertainment enthusiast about purchasing such a combo player, they will most likely advise you against it, as, budget permitting, you can purchase seperate units for only a fraction more money and save yourself the headache of costly repair bills when one component fails before the other.
if you would like additional info/reviews on these products, i suggest you use the trusty google, and look for reviews such as these:
Top 8 DVD Player/VCR Combo (http://hometheater.about.com/cs/toppicks/tp/aatpdvdvcr.htm)
cheers

jel: never get a sony...
the most overrated brand i think i've ever come across.
my pal at madman says the discs they press often don't work on the sony machines, but if they use sony discs at the replication plant they will work. this sounds very suspicious to me, and seeing as madman don't use sony discs unless there's definite problems, i'd stick to a brand that actually lives up to it's name as a DVD player and plays standard compliant (not just "sony compliant") DVDs.
it's not just DVD players... ever since sony got into the music and film industries, their consumer electronics have turned to complete poop.

never fear Mug Funky, the last thing i will ever do is become a pin-up boy for the sony generation. i avoid all sony products with the same level of fanaticism i usually reserve for electronics with the words "hyper" and "mega" emblazoned on the box
to be honest, it was the first link i found when i typed a search query into google. i promise to be more selective with my links in future. :p
... now where did i put my AIBO?

i would never reccomend a combo unit period. if 1 part dies or starts acting up its more expensive to replace.
get a vcr and dvd player seperate is my advice. and no its not way more expensive. you can pick up seperate units that can even be cheaper than a combo. :)
