I have a whole bunch of MKV files I need to convert to something else. I'm not going to be picky about what format. I've tried VDM, tried Demuxing the audio tried not demuxing the audio, all that stuff. The only program I have found that will actually come close to what I need is River Past Video CLeaner. This program works very well for all the other formats I convert except MKVs. When I convert a MKV with this program to anything else it has a horrible 4 second audio delay. I have even tried AVIMux_GUI to put a -4000 or -3000 or -3500 and so on delay on the audio and that kinda works but it only seems to work for the first few minutes. I have tried TMPGenc and that gets the job done except I am not smart enough to make it batch encode and it takes a very long time to convert the files.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I have searched and search (google and these forums) and have found quite a few threads but they all say the same thing, use VDM and demux the audio then make the audio-less avi and then enconde them together. For some reason I cannot get it to work. I demux the audio and when I try and add it to the avi VDM will not open the audio. Maybe I don't know what format to save the demuxed audio as. I have also tried using VDM to save the audio stream as a WAV and that doesn't work. I ahve also tried saving it as a AVI in VDM and disabling the audio track and subs I don't want and then use full processing mode with MP3 audio to try and make it into a AVI and that did not work. I also tried that with uncompressed audio and nothing.
Thanks
