Hi jdobbs,
I encounter the Error 0003 again with 57a. With same DVD as before.

Is this the error that went away with 0.57? If so, it may help to put my finger on the cause.

Yes, it was well gone. Tested with the same DVD.

Interesting. I'll get back to you when I know more.

I tried to rebuild again with 0.57, it works well. But when I try with 0.57a, it stops with the error 0003. Can I still use the 0.57 ?

Well... yes, but be very careful -- and only use it on DVDs that give the 0003 error. My fear is that if you run across a DVD that does some weird timing changes at the chapter points you will get some really ugly audio dropouts and video jitter. I'd look at it very carefully before I burned it. If I knew then what I know now, I never would have released the change in 0.57. I may have created a few coasters out there.
Interestingly, the same change that fixed that seems to be causing yours. I think that should make it easier to find, though. I may release a 0.58 if I find it.

@djan
Hopefully you still have this on your hard drive... can you try the attached test version (0.57b TEST) and see how it does? All that needs to be done is the rebuild. I found an odd setting I'd made that may be at the root of this problem.
Please report back and let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
jdobbs

Hi jdobbs,
It doesn't work. Error 0003 at the same place. No need to re-encode all ?

Nope, if the rebuild didn't fix it, this wasn't it.
I'll keep looking.

I had run School of Rock through DVD-ReMake and had the 0003 error, which was fixed by using RB.57. I had already gotten rid of the files from my drive, before I noticed some audio problems on the disc.
I'm mainly posting this for djan, to make sure that disc that DID finish rebuilding is free from audio errors, or if it has them as well. Sorry I can't help out any wwith figuring out the problem, but I jumped the gun on getting the space freed up on my drive. Hope you can nail this problem down completely, cause that would rock :) Keep up the great work.

i have had error 3 when trying to backup Master and Commander Region 1. The error is with both 57a and 57. I have backed up one other disc without the error but can't remember if it was with 57a or 57. I will refind 56 and give it a try with Master and Commander.
